Bishop Donal Murray has been criticised in the latest damning child sex abuse probe to rock the Catholic Church in Ireland.

He was singled out for mishandling allegations against a paedophile priest, and in one case his actions were branded inexcusable.

The senior clergyman, auxiliary Bishop in the Dublin Archdiocese between 1982 and 1996, was reprimanded by the Murphy report for the way he dealt with complaints about Fr Thomas Naughton.
