Public Works Minister Sergio Bitar presented a new book on Wednesday. Bitar presented the book "Chile 2020, Obras Públicas para el Desarrollo", or "Chile 2020, Public Works for Development". The document was presented at the Universidad de Chile Hall of Honor, and it contains the main construction and infrastructure programs for the next 10 years. The projects include expansion plans for Santiago's main airport as well as the construction of new hospitals across the entire country.

The Chilean House of Representatives approved a law to legally distribute the morning-after pill. The Senate members passed and officialized the law regulating fertility procedures in Chile; therefore, every Chilean citizen has now the right to receive education, information and guidance on the fertility regulation process, which will soon allow the morning-after pill to be distributed in drugstores across the entire country.

A priest accused of sexual abuse and child exploitation was taken into protective custody on Wednesday. The Criminal Court of Curacaví placed priest Ricardo Muñoz Quintero in protective custody after he was accused of sexual abuse against minors, including his five-year-old daughter. Quintero's wife, Pamela Ampuero Escobar, was also placed in protective custody after amid accusations of child prostitution. The Court set a 90-day deadline to investigate the case.

Santiago National Zoo presented five white tiger cubs on Wednesday. The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Patricia Poblete, presented the five white tiger cubs, that were born about a month ago at the National Zoo located inside the Metropolitan Park in Santiago. Poblete said the cubs are in perfect condition and congratulated the Zoo personnel on their handling of the birth. The public can view the tiger cubs between 11 am and noon and between 4 and 5 pm daily.
