A Zion Christian Church pastor who allegedly raped a woman churchgoer appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, Johannesburg police said.
The pastor was arrested on Monday in connection with the rape of a 30-year-old woman who, with her husband, had came to him for help with their marital problems, Inspector Solomon Sibiya said.

The pastor asked the husband to leave before he could start "healing" the woman on Wednesday afternoon. He allegedly told he to undress so he could rub ointment on her.
"The pastor later took off his trousers and forced the complainant to the floor and raped her."
The woman told the church elders who advised her to report the matter to the police.
