ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The national director of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests flew into the nation's oldest city to announce that a former priest just plead guilty to abuse and is living in St. Johns County.

David Clohessy is with SNAP and said that former priest James R. Blume plead guilty last week in a Wisconsin court to abusing a boy in the late 70's and another boy in the early 80's.

Blume has been living in Hastings, Florida, said Clohessy, and is currently awaiting sentencing.

Clohessy wants people to be aware of this case because there is a possibility that Blume may have abused somewhere while living here.

"If you saw or suspect something, or suffered, come forward and call the police. Protect others and start healing," said Clohessy.

Clohessy has a message for Bishop Galeone of the Diocese of St. Augustine. He wants him to use his tremendous resources to reach out to potential victims and warn the local flock about Blume.

"Reach out to whomever he may have hurt. He should take active steps to locate possible victims and urge them to contact law enforcement. "

Clohessy was a victim himself in the late 60's but said nothing for decades. He saod victims need to tell someone and then the healing and recovery can begin.
