  Maltese Priest in Italy with Molestation History Moved out of Parish

Italian media have reported that a Maltese priest, who lives in Italy and was sentenced on child molestation charges in 2004, will be moved out of the parish of Cercemaggiore in the province of Campobasso and assigned new tasks in another locality.

This decision was taken by the Holy See and was announced by the Bishop of Campobasso Bregantini.

Havoc was created in this locality after it was revelead that the priest had beeinn involved in child molestation in Grossetto. The priest served 2 and a half years in a community in Trento.

Italian media reported that the priest denied the allegations and claimed to have been framed.
