ST. JOHN'S, N.L. -- An Anglican priest who allegedly had sexually explicit pictures and video of children on his computer is facing more charges.

Rev. Robin Barrett of Conception Bay South, near St. John's, was arrested last month on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography in relation to a police investigation in November 2009.

On Tuesday, the Crown added three more charges -- one for possessing and distributing child pornography and two others for accessing child pornography stemming from alleged incidents in June 2007 and December 2009.

The case will be called again Feb. 23.

Rev. Barrett has been suspended from his duties.

His arrest came after the Toronto Police Service forwarded information to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, which executed a search warrant on his home.
