Charges against the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Reverend Eusebius J. Beltran and David Imming were dismissed with prejudice in the District Court of Oklahoma County on Wednesday, January 20, 2010.

The civil case requesting more than $10,000 in damages was originally filed March 31, 2003 against “Father Dave,” former priest at Alva’s Sacred Heart Catholic, by Philip Schovanec.

In the original filing, Schovanec alleged he was sexually abused as an adolescent over a period of years by former Enid and Alva priest David Imming.

Imming was affectionately known by members of his parish and non-Catholics alike as “Father Dave” during his years in Alva. Imming retired from the Sacred Heart Parish in 2001 to move to Kansas to help care for his ailing mother.
