UKRAINE -- The parliament will hear the report of the interim parliamentary commission that was set up to investigate the allegations of sexual abuse of minors at the Artek international children's center (Crimea) at a session on Wednesday, February 10.

The report is one of the items on the agenda of the parliament's session on February 10.

The parliament plans to begin the session by considering approval of its regulations (the number of the relevant draft parliamentary resolution is not stated on the session's agenda).

Parliamentary deputies will then consider several draft law related to housing and utilities, particularly provision of citizens with affordable housing, and a new version of the law on housing and utility services.

The parliament also intends to consider amendments to the law on amnesty.

The report of the interim commission investigating the allegations of sexual abuse of minors at Artek is the last item on the agenda of the session.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the parliament set up the interim commission to investigate the allegation of sexual abuse of minors at Artek on October 20, 2009.

The press service of the Party of the Regions circulated on October 13 a statement in which Parliamentary Deputy Vadym Kolesnichenko of the Party of the Regions said that the mother of the two children that were allegedly raped by senior officials at Artek had made an appeal to him.

Media reports later claimed that Artek's Director-General Borys Novozhylov and parliamentary deputies Viktor Ukolov, Ruslan Bohdan, and Serhii Teriokhin (all members of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc) were also involved in the case.

All these parliamentary deputies and Novozhylov have denied involvement in the case.
