GUAM -- Deacon Jeff Barcinas says the Archdiocese of Hagatna will not be issuing a response to a second letter from the Survivor Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP). The nation's largest organization supporting victims of sexual abuse by priests alleges they have received calls from individuals claiming they were victimized by local members of clergy.

In their first letter to Archbishop Anthony Apuron they asked that he come clean and release the names of local priests who have ever worked or lived on Guam that were or have been accused of child molestation. The archbishop, however, said that no local clergy member has been charged of convicted of sexual abuse. SNAP is demanding the archbishop hold a meeting for victims and publicize information about SNAP in their publications - both in print and online.

SNAP Southwest Regional Director Joelle Casteix says she will be on Guam in the next few weeks.
