The man, who cannot be identified, made a brief appearance in the District Court this morning. He pleaded not guilty to one count of kidnapping, two counts of indecent assault and one count of compelling an act of sexual manipulation. Prosecutors have alleged the man abducted the girl - whose identity is suppressed - at Modbury in July 2009. He is alleged to have assaulted and indecently assaulted her, and also to have forced her to perform a sex act upon herself while he watched. The man was remanded on continuing bail to appear in court again next month.
