INDIA -- Situation turned tense at St Peter and Paul Church at Rayapur near Jagajivanram Nagar on Sunday night when a few members of the Church staged a protest accusing the Fr Arogyadas of carrying out illegal activities inside the Church.
The protesters alleged that Arogyadas was also involved in an illicit relationship with a woman. He had tarnished the image of the church by his acts, they charged.Though a complaint was lodged against Arogyadas, the police failed to take any action as they received bribe from Arogyadas and were trying to protect him, agitators alleged.

The police rushed to the spot and tried to control the situation. Their efforts to pacify the protesters failed as the members of the Church exchanged heated words with the police.
The priest of Rajajinagar Church Fr Jayanathan rushed to the spot and promised the protesters that he would prevail upon the Church authorities to take action against Arogyadas.
The protesters withdrew the protest only after the following the promise made by
Fr Jayanathan. The police have tightened t security in and around the Church to prevent any untoward incident.
