On Wednesday, Cardinal Sean Brady said he was considering his position following revelations he failed to alert the authorities in 1975 about serial abuser Father Brendan Smyth. The latest case to emerge involves a woman who alleges she was raped by Father Joseph Quinn of the Archdiocese of Armagh in 1997 when she was 17-years-old, and whose claim was settled out of court in the past few months.
