JASPER (TX) -- Jasper Police arrested a local youth minister Friday and charged him with possession of marijuana and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Dwight L. Bullock was arrested Friday by Jasper police while conducting an investigation into multiple child molestation allegations. Bullock is a youth leader at Moore Chapel CME Church, located on South Bowie.

"We were investigating a call from parents alleging their children had made outcries of sexual abuse," said Jasper Police Chief Todd Hunter.

Hunter said the children were taken to the Garth House for examinations and based on that information, a warrant was issued for Bullock's arrest.

According to Jasper Police reports, police went to Bullock's home in the 1600 block of South Bowie with a search warrant and arrest warrant for Bullock.

Police reports indicate Bullock was placed in custody and officers found marijuana inside his home. Officers also seized his home computer while searching Bullock's home.

According to Jasper Police Chief Todd Hunter, images have been located on Bullock's computer that implicates him in other sexual assaults of children.

"We did find some pictures on his computer," Hunter said.

Hunter wouldn't comment on the computer images but he added the images show other possible victims that were molested by him at his residence.

"It appears he sought out children from dysfunctional families as his victims," Hunter said.

Hunter said additional charges are expected to be filed against Bullock, who also works for the Texas Department of Human Services.

Bullock has been released in lieu of a $51,000 bond.
