SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) ? Clergy sex abuse victims are calling on Pope Benedict XVI to set up an international online registry of all priests credibly accused of abuse.

The members of Survivors Network of Those Abused by priests also plan to urge Roman Catholic officials Thursday to house abusive priests in treatment facilities to keep them away from children.

The SNAP press conference in Springfield was called in response to an Associated Press story that detailed 30 cases in which priests accused of abuse were transferred or moved abroad.

One of the priests, the Rev. Mario Pezzotti, abused a teen boy in Holliston in 1959, then moved to Brazil and worked with Amazon Indian children. Pezzotti's religious order reached a financial settlement with the victim in the Massachusetts case.
