CINCINNATI -- A vigil Sunday brought all types of people from all different walks of life with one goal, to silence the silence about child abuse.

The Blue Ribbon Vigil of Hope sponsored by the Catholic organization Voice of the Faithful took place at Spring Grove Cemetery Sunday evening.

Daniel Frondorf is from SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

Frondorf carries a picture of himself at the age he was abused as a reminder that abuse is happening everyday to children and teens.

"Human nature doesn't want you to talk about the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children," Frondorf says. "It's such an important thing that most people would prefer to just look the other way and pretend it doesn't happen. But we know it happens. We can't pretend. It's up to the adults in our society to do something about it."

Riders with Warriors For The Children say events like this are needed.

"We have way too many abused children out there and they all need help," says Taz with the Warriors For The Children. "So anybody that can join together and join forces, I think it's all the better."
