An advocacy group is worried church officials are influencing a Catholic Wisconsin lawmaker's vote.

The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, or SNAP, is targeting Wauwatosa Senator Jim Sullivan.

The group wanted lawmakers to pass the Child Victims Act, which would have made it easier to sue for clergy sexual abuse.

SNAP distributed an e-mail sent by lobbyist Joseph Strohl in December. In it, he says Sullivan told him he wants to continue receiving communion every Sunday.

The advocacy group says the statement suggests Sullivan faced real or implied pressure from Catholic Church officials.

Strohl says nothing in Sullivan's tone or demeanor suggested he was being threatened.
