WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) ? A judge has dismissed a Delaware woman's lawsuit against a pedophile priest because she was slow to serve papers on him.

Judge Peggy Ableman last week granted the Rev. Charles Wiggins' request to dismiss the lawsuit filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe.

In a lawsuit filed last year, Doe alleged that Wiggins sexually abused her in the 1980s when she attended St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, and that school officials deliberately failed to report the abuse.

But Ableman said Doe failed to serve papers on Wiggins within the required 120 days after filing the complaint.

Wiggins, who lives in Marcus Hook, Pa., was among 20 priests identified by the Diocese of Wilmington in 2006 as having substantiated allegations of child sexual abuse.
