WHO: Members of national and local survivor support groups, National Survivor Advocates Coalition [NSAC], Speak Truth To Power [STTOP], People of Conscience, and other concerned supporters.

WHAT: Issue a call for dedicated Boston Catholics to join together to end the privilege and honor being bestowed on Bernard Law, former Cardinal from Boston.

WHEN: Sunday, June 13, 2010 – 10:45 am

WHERE:On the sidewalk outside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02118

WHY:Why do we remain silent? At a special Mass honoring bedrock Catholics who are celebrating their silver and gold wedding anniversaries, these dedicated Boston Catholics will be reminded about what they already know; that there is something very, very wrong about Cardinal Bernard Law being allowed to maintain his comfortable and exalted Vatican position.

The words we use and the actions we take speak volumes about how we really think and feel about any issue. For eight years now, Cardinal Bernard Law has remained in a position of power and prestige in the Vatican. Catholic members of the Archdiocese of Boston don't need to reach very far inside themselves to know that there is something very wrong with Law being appointed to such an exalted position in light of the horrific harm and devastation he inflicted upon thousands of innocent children. The question at hand, though, is really about us. Why do we remain silent?
