Albemarle Police Chief Gerald Michael said a warrant for indecent liberties was issued for Kelleher on Tuesday. The chaplain, who lives in Winston-Salem, is expected to turn himself in Thursday afternoon.

Kelleher was placed on administrative leave while the Diocese investigates the accusations. The Review Board of the Diocese of Charlotte is conducting a separate investigation of the alleged incidents.

Parents were notified of the investigation via a letter sent July 2.
