(AP) - A former volunteer chaplain for the St. Cloud Police Department has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing a girl. Eighty-3-year-old Arthur James Ree pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Ree admitted that he had numerous sexual contacts with the girl from late 2001 until June 2003, when the girl was 11 to 13 years old. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen on Thursday sentenced Ree to two 12-year terms and ordered that he serve the sentences at the same time. The judge rejected a defense request for a much shorter sentence.
