CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Former Charlotte priest Joseph Kelleher is facing two allegations of sexual abuse involving teenage boys.

Despite all that, Kelleher's supporters stand by his side. Recently, they held a rally in Charlotte's Freedom Park to show their support of Kelleher.

But one victim of priest abuse says, enough is enough.

Neal Evans stood in the rain outside the headquarters of the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte Wednesday afternoon in protest.

He brought a simple message for local Catholics who support Kelleher: Be careful who you support in this case.

"Still to this day, I have negative remembrances of that time as a child, when I was abused," Evans said. "I have difficulties in churches, at things like my daughter's wedding."

The only comment the Charlotte diocese had is that they'll wait for the results of the criminal case.
