A sector 20-based woman has allegedly accused UT police of not initiating action against two priests of a local shrine, who allegedly molestated her a few days ago.

Talking to mediapersons during a press meet on Friday, the woman claimed she had filed two-three complaints at police station, sector 19, but cops refused to take any legal action. The woman alleged the priest of a shrine in Sector 20 had allegedly tried to outrage her modesty on May 25 but as she had called cops on the spot, the priest had apologized to her. Later, the priest started issuing threats to her life following which, she had to approach cops. SHO of PS-19, inspector Ram Gopal, said the victim had been asked to record her statement during the inquiry of every complaint but she refused to come to the police station. The woman has also filed a complaint in the office of SSP (UT) at police headquarters Sector 9. tnn
