CHARLEROI, Pa. (AP) - A canon lawyer representing a Pittsburgh-area priest accused of sexually abusing two males years ago says the priest denies the accusations and claims they are "not credible."

Monsignor Michael Cariglio, of Youngstown, Ohio, is the lawyer representing the Rev. David Dzermejko (jer-MAY'-koh).

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh removed Dzermejko as pastor of Mary, Mother of the Church parish in Charleroi in June 2009 after a woman said her late husband had been molested as a child by the priest. Another man claimed childhood abuse by the priest after the woman came forward.

The 61-year-old priest remains suspended from ministry.

Earlier this week, the diocese forwarded the allegations to the Vatican after a review board deemed the allegations "credible."
