Trial for the so-called DeLuca 7 will go on as scheduled in October. In his ruling, Judge Christopher Sontchi says it's within the public's best interest to go forward with these trials, and that irreparable harm would be caused if these alleged victims of priest sexual abuse experienced any further delays.

These are the same seven, who say they had the rug pulled out from under them when the Diocese filed for bankruptcy last year, putting a stop to all of their trials. One of those trials was just 12 hours away from opening.

The victims can't speak because now anything they say can be used against them in court. But the tears and smiles on their faces showed their relief.

When they took the stand Thursday, all the alleged victims said they want the chance to look Father Francis DeLuca in the eye and re-tell their horrific stories, and put this all behind them. Now, they'll finally get that chance.

A call to the Diocese for their reaction on the ruling has yet to be returned.
