GATE CITY, Va. - A former East Tennessee priest accused of molesting a Kingsport boy in the 1970s pleaded not guilty today to new criminal charges lodged in Virginia.

William Casey, 76, was arraigned this morning in Scott County, Va., on charges of forcible sodomy and indecent liberties with a minor, according to the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests, or SNAP.

A tentative trial date has been set for Jan. 26, a spokeswoman for the Scott County District Attorney's Office said. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of both charges.
