Police are looking for a man who may have planted child pornography on a former priest's computer last year.

Alfred Justin Boulerice, 29, is wanted on five counts of trespassing and one count each of tampering with evidence and making a false report to law enforcement.

Boulerice's last known address was in Vero Beach.

The ongoing investigation initially resulted in 33 child porn possession charges against Gerald Lamothe, the former priest. The state dropped all charges in February, but his attorney said the ordeal strongly affected Lamothe.

"This still hangs over him," attorney Robert Stone said Friday. "The warrants go further toward exonerating him. But not everyone is going to believe him until someone is arrested."

The investigation started in February 2009, when someone called police about seeing a pornographic image on Lamothe's computer through a window to his office. The caller, who refused to give his name, claimed to be a delivery man, but police could not verify that anything was delivered to the area that night.

An informant later told police the child porn on Lamothe's computer was planted and provided investigators with the suspect's name.

Police said Boulerice is 5-foot-10, has blond hair and blue eyes, and weighs 163 pounds. Police said he was in the area until a few months ago, but has not been seen here since then.

Lamothe is known in the community as a former candidate for the Indian River County School Board and for his years of work in counseling. He became a religious counselor after leaving the Catholic priesthood and getting married.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 800-273-8477.
