Monica Romano, coordinator of youth and young adult ministries for the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, will present "Safeguarding God's Children" on Saturday, September 11, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

Using DVDs and workbooks from the Church Pension Group, Romano will focus discussion on preventing and responding to child sexual abuse. The workshop will address concerns of Sunday School teachers, other church leaders, and all who care about child safety at church and in the community.

"Each attendee will go home with a workbook and certificate of completion from the program," says Romano, "indicating their knowledge and commitment to caring for the most vulnerable among us."

One of a series of Redwood Episcopal Cluster programs, the session begins at 9:30 a.m. at the church (640 South Orchard Avenue, Ukiah). A fellowship lunch will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Holy Trinity, Ukiah, St. Francis in the Redwoods, Willits, and St. John's, Lakeport, form the Redwood Episcopal Cluster.

The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California works to strengthen the ministry of members of all ages.
