An Ontario priest has been accused of sexually abusing two adolescent boys, the Diocese of San Bernardino announced this weekend.

Father Alex Castillo is still pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Ontario, but he was removed from duty as an active priest June 25, the day after the parents of the alleged victims - who are brothers - contacted the diocese, said John Andrews, spokesman for the Diocese. Castillo maintains his innocence, Andrews said.

A letter was read during Sunday mass informing parishioners of the allegations.

"The Diocese of San Bernardino has received information regarding credible allegations of sexual misconduct with minors involving Father Alex Castillo, a priest of our Diocese. These allegations involve incidents during Father Castillo's ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Ontario," No new allegations have been made since the allegation, Andrews said.

The church recently pushed the Ontario council to condemn SB 1070, Arizona's immigration law. Castillo was the lone person to send a letter requesting the council's action on the law.
