No one is really sure if Bishop Eddie Long is guilty or innocent of the allegations against him because it is still too early to determine, but listed below are five possible rocks that Bishop Long can throw at these allegations.

Bishop Eddie Long Sex Scandal - Five Rocks That Can Help Him Beat Goliath

New Orleans Louisiana -At the conclusion of Bishop Eddie Long's address to his congregation he compared himself to David in his epic battle against the recent allegations that he manipulated 4 men into sexual relationships.

Once the allegations were made public by Atlanta attorney B.J. Bernstein, the case has now become a media circus due in part to Bernstein's rouge clients (Jamal Harris) interviews, which have only added fuel to an already incendiary scandal. In his address to the congregation at New Birth, Bishop Eddie Long described his battle against the allegations as spiritual warfare which was greeted with cheers and high praise from faithful followers.

What seemed like a slam dunk for attorney Bernstein and her clients is now coming under scrutiny due to her inability to prevent her clients from conducting unauthorized interviews, which have only raised more doubts as to legitimacy of the accusations. The five rocks that Bishop Long made reference to, may very well have been handed to him by the actual people who are accusing him of being a monster.

No one is really sure if Bishop Eddie Long is guilty or innocent of the allegations against him because it is still too early to determine, but listed below are five possible rocks that Bishop Long can throw at these allegations.

Rock #1 – One of the main plaintiffs in the case against Bishop Eddie Long is Jamal Harris, who served as his personal assistant, which means he had access to his office as well as his cell phone. The pictures on Bishop Eddie Long's cell phone could have been documentation of his training regimen or recent weight loss, but if placed in the context of the sexual scandal could very well give the impression that it was sent romantically to these young men.

Rock #2 - There are no reports of any of the parents coming out publicly against Bishop Eddie Long's preferential treatment of their sons nor have there been any reports of confrontations between the Bishop and the parents of any of these accusers. Most parents would ask question if their teenager is receiving expensive gifts like rent free apartments and cars from a man twice their age. With no such reports of conflict between the parents of the teens and Bishop Long, it only further weakens the allegations.

Rock #3 - None of the young men receiving the gifts made any complaints of sexual abuse while they were benefiting financially from being in Bishop Long's inner circle. Even in the recent interview with Jamal Harris, he is quoted as making reference to the fact that “Bishop Long cut them off.” The fact that Mr. Harris and others were so devastated by being cut off has begun to make many followers of the scandal question if the allegations are a form of retaliation.

Rock #4 - All of the plaintiffs in this particular case is represented by the same attorney who conveniently provides the opportunity to synchronize all the sexual accusations. Seldom are sexual abuse victims represented by the same attorney, especially if there is a possibility of financial awards similar to succession cases. Since attorney Bernstein has been so eager to have this case decided in the court of the media; she also stands to gain the most by making sure each client story is similar to the accounts of Jamal Harris.

Rock #5 - None of the pictures from this case surfaced until two of the plaintiffs burglarize Bishop Eddie Long's office. Attorney Bernstein has tried to downplay the burglary by saying her clients were simply hurt due to the sexual abuse, but keep in mind that the District Attorney has stated that the charges against her clients have not been dropped. With two possible felony convictions for the burglary which resulted in theft of $100,000 of jewelry and other items from Bishop Long's office, it's no wonder that sexual abuse charges against him soon followed.

Tyronne Jacques the author of “How to Fight Google and Win” and the host of Reputation Radio says that this case reminds him a lot of the 2004 case against Michael Jackson.

"I remember the Michael Jackson case in which he was facing over 14 felony charges for child molestation and was found Not Guilty on all charges. I think with the Bishop Long's case everyone should exercise patience and allow the facts to come forward before convicting him in the court of public opinion. As long as the accusers fail to produce a video of Bishop Long he stands a chance of beating this, but if a video turns up then I think it’s time for him to duck."

Tyronne Jacques went on to say that he has taken on this topic on his radio talk show and the comments from callers have been very passionate and emotional. Whether Bishop Long is guilty of these charges are not is for the courts to decide. The one thing that is for certain is the media is eagerly anticipating an intense legal battle which may include a slingshot filled with rocks.
