Roman Catholic Archbishop Martin Currie will head to St. Brendan's Friday afternoon amid controversy over the presence of a priest who was convicted of sexual abuse almost two decades ago. Michael Walsh returned to St. Brendan's last year and had been allowed to assist the parish priest in celebrating mass, but he has no other pastoral duties. Archbishop Currie says the priest is suffering from memory loss and forgetfulness. Archbishop Currie has told Walsh he can no longer attend services in the community and may suggest to him that he live elsewhere, despite the fact he has a lot of family in St. Brendan's.
