	Priest Charged with Abuse TV3 October 12, 2010 http://www.tv3.ie/article.php?article_id=46208&locID=1.2.&pagename=news [with video] A 74 year old priest has been charged with a number of sexual offences against a teenage boy. Father Brendan Wrixon, with an address in Newmarket, County Cork appeared at Mallow District Court today. His alleged crimes were committed in the early 1980s. He was arrested following the Garda investigation into allegations of clerical child sex abuse in the Diocese of Cloyne. Dressed in a purple checked shirt, grey jacket and black trousers, Fr Wrixon, who has not practiced in ministry since 2005, spoke only to confirm his identity during the hearing. Fr Wrixon was remanded on his own bail of €100 and returned for trial in November.
