Blountville, Tenn. - In his third appearance answering to charges of child molestation, a former Knoxville priest pleaded not guilty this morning in a Sullivan County courtroom.

William "Bill" Casey, 76, pleaded not guilty to three charges, one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of aggravated rape, according to Barry Staubus, Sullivan County's assistant district attorney general.

Grand juries in three states - Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina - have indicted Casey on charges of child molestation. Warren Tucker, 44, of Jeffersonville, Ind., alleges the abuse occurred more than 50 times in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
