Pope John Paul II raises the host in the sacred rite of Consecration during a Mass at UNO during his visit in New Orleans in 1987. In the background is Archbishop Phillip Hannan.

Pope John Paul II welcomes the celebrants at the Mass on the University of New Orleans campus, September 1987.

Here's "The Never Ending Moral Story of John Paul II the Great and Fr. Marcial Maciel". Fr. Maciel the founder of the (Vatican 30 billion dollars worth) Legionaries of Christ (and Zenit.Org) was a serial pedophile (including with one of his own biological son). Fr. Maciel therefore should be excommunicated posthumously because he broke his priestly vows of celibacy many times over and was a serial pedophile criminal for many years -- he is worse than a (good law abiding) woman attempting to be a Catholic priest who would be excommunicated instantly.

John Paul II endorsed and glorified the immoral Fr. Marcial Maciel. As Pope and as priest John Paul II abused his powers in the Sacrament of Penance and forgave-and-forget all the crimes of Fr. Maciel. John Paul II did absolutely nothing to help the victims of Fr. Maciel and he knew all about them. John Paul II must never be canonized a saint because as the Head of the Holy See he safeguarded the Phenomenon of Priest Pedophilia especially Fr. Maciel's serial pedophilia for over a quarter of a century. And what a twist of fate, his first miracle with the French nun is not miracle after all, she has fallen ill again.

This can not be hammered enough into the 1.1 billion Catholic's heads: John Paul II had the longest papacy of over 26 years and that gave him ample time to become the most corrupt Pope of Injustice of the 20th century because he went on and on to bless, praise and perpetuate the serial pedophile priest Fr Marcial Maciel and the thousands of pedophile priests worldwide named aptly after him the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. John Paul II is the Pope of Injustice because he did absolutely nothing for the restitution and salvation of victims of Fr. Maciel and his JPII Pedophile Priests Army for over a quarter of a century. Benedict XVI is in a hurry to canonize him by using all his papal superpowers. Because John Paul II is revered in all Catholic churches and his writings are cited in every Catholic universities, schools, Masses and Catholic sites, that will also make him the Pope of Injustice of the 21st century… and beyond.

John Paul II blessed and loved Fr. Marcial Maciel

Just because John Paul II sat in the lap of luxury on the Chair of Peter at the Vatican and travelled across the globe preaching and saying countless Masses did not make him automatically a "holy" man. Just because he prayed Angelus every Wednesday at St. Peter's Square with pilgrims from around the world did not make him a "Holy Father". John Paul II was only a "Holy Father" to wealthy Catholic but not for the poor Catholics like those children in Latin America. John Paul II condemned Liberation Theology and theologians like Jon Sobrino because they criticized his theatrical self-serving narcissistic use of the poor people such as those in El Salvador (see book citation below).

John Paul II led a narcissistic life and was obsessed for his self-glory and title as "John Paul II the Great" - to achieve this title, he wrote the unbreakable record of books, articles and encyclicals more than all the popes of 2,000 years of Catholicism combined. But his writings proved that he was the most callous and heartless pope in the history of the papacy because he did nothing and he wrote nothing to save children from pedophile priests! He was seen kissing and embracing a few selected wealthy children but he intentionally ignored the hundreds of thousands of children who were repeatedly victimized by the Priestly Sodomy of Biblical Proportions committed by his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army.

There is absolutely no excuse why John Paul II did nothing to stop Priestly Sodomy of Biblical Proportions under his 26+ years of papacy. There is no excuse. He had all the time, knowledge and power in the world more than all popes combined. The fact that he did not defrock one single pedophile priests during his world trotting papacy makes him the greatest complicit of the most heinous crimes against Catholic children in the history of Christendom.

John Paul II believed in his absolute and infinite power as pope and as priest in the Sacrament of Penance. The Confessional booths is the antithesis of our justice court houses. In the Sacrament of Penance, once a priest absolves a sinner (criminal) from his sins, that is final. The sinner or criminal go scot-free and is back in the state of grace. He does not need to think of the sufferings he has inflicted on his victims. The killer abandons the dead body of his victims. The victim's body does not need to be found, examined in a CSI lab, nor does he need to be buried – not in the Catholic Church's Sacrament of Confession anyway. The rapist's victims is totally ignored and neglected by the forgiving priest. That is why this Sacrament is the greatest means of Injustice on the planet. Priests are the most callous and most cold-blooded men as they hear sins after sins and they do nothing for the victims of these sins and crimes. The Pope and priests are only in the business of making criminals go scot-free and there is absolutely no justice for their victims. The Sacrament of Penance makes a big joke out of our justice system.

As seen in this picture that speaks a thousand words, John Paul II is blessing Fr. Marcial Maciel because in confession, John Paul II has forgiven ALL of Fr. Maciel's sins. John Paul II did not ask him: "What about your victims? What are they doing now? Are they suffering? Are they doing drugs, committing suicide because of the Priestly Sodomy of Biblical Proportions you have satiated yourself upon them? What about your former mistress and your children? How have you provided for them considering that you are one of the wealthiest billionaire contributors to the Vatican bank next to the Opus Dei?"

Instead, John Paul II praised and promoted Maciel in different Vatican offices:

Called to accompany Pope John Paul II on his visits to Mexico in 1979, 1990, and 1993, Maciel was also appointed by the Pope to the Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the formation of Candidates for the Priesthood in Actual Circumstances (1991). He was a member of the Interdicasterial Commission for a Just Distribution of Clergy (1991), the IV General Conference of Latin American Bishops (CELAM) (1992), the Synod of Bishops on Consecrated Life and Their Mission in the Church and the World (1993), the Synod of Bishops' Special Assembly for America (1997) and (since 1994) a permanent consultant to the Congregation for the Clergy. The golden anniversary of his priestly ordination was celebrated on 26 November 1994, with 57 Legionary priests ordained on the anniversary's eve. Maciel served as Chancellor of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, which is based in Rome. Maciel collaborated extensively with the pope, either in person or through members of his organization, the Legion of Christ. Pope John Paul II admired Maciel because of his conservative fealty to doctrine and his ability to raise money and recruit priests. His influence was tied in part in his ability to ingratiate himself with Mexico's millionaire elite, who contributed copiously to his cause. (Vatican orders overhaul in Mexico after investigation of sexual abuse - Los Angeles Times, May 1, 2010)

Maciel is the grand-nephew of a Mexican saint canonized in 2007, Rafael Guízar Valencia, who also was an integral part of the founding of the Legion of Christ.[10] There has been speculation that conduct by Maciel contributed to the death of this great uncle. According to an investigative report:

The day before Bishop Guizar died, he had been heard shouting angrily at Marcial Maciel. He was giving his eighteen-year-old nephew a dressing down after two women had come to the bishop's house to complain about Maciel, who was their neighbor. Father Orozco, who was among the original group of boys to found the Legion of Christ in 1941, said he heard the women had complained about the "noise" Maciel was making with children he had brought into his home to teach religion. He said that the seminary officials blamed Maciel for his uncle's heart attack. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcial_Maciel

Opus Dei controlled the 26+ years papacy of John Paul II. "No one goes to the Holy Father except through me" was the mantra of Dr. Joaquin Navarro-Valls, the one and only official (Opus Dei member) spokesperson of John Paul II. That is why the Opus Dei is the greatest complicit in the most heinous crimes of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army.

Theology and John Paul II are heartless and together they made the immoral Fr. Marcial Maciel thrive http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2010/05/theology-and-john-paul-ii-are-heartless.html

Page 141. Important ecclesial events, like a papal visit, are often organized in such a way that they too produce a feeling of unreality. In the Pope's 1996 visit to El Salvador, it is true that most of the people who attended were poor. But all one could see of their reality was their religious enthusiasm, more or less effectively organized. One didn't see their poverty, their fears, their discouragement and helplessness, not even their true faith and hope; one didn't see their reality. As the event was organized, the poor served more as a backdrop than as the reality of the country; in the foreground were minorities that do not represent the reality: the government, legislators and politicians, the rich and powerful, and the Church beside them. The Pope's visit neither reflected reality nor, to judge from the consequences, had any important effect on it.

On page 140. This applies to the allocutions and homilies of the Pope to the Congregation when he was an "adult-pope'. And that is still a serious problem: humanistas without sarx, factuality without reality (in the world of the poor). To give a few examples: one often gets a feeling of unreality from homilies, documents and messages that do not make central - although they may mention it - the poverty of reality, the injustice and corruption that cause it, and the cover-up that accompanies it. The feeling of unreality comes especially from the lack of commitment to get involved in the conflict, to struggle against injustice and to suffer the consequences. Words, words, words, as J. Comblin calls such messages in the article mentioned above. At another level, one gets the same feeling of unreality from a seminary formation that protects the seminarian from reality; or from the spiritualities and pastoral practices promoted or tolerated by movements that lead the human being into an a-historical transcendence with infantilizing consequences. Medical 'miracle' intended to propel Pope John Paul II to sainthood in doubt amid abuse scandal

John Paul II "Miracle" Further Scrutinized

Questions Raised About French Nun's Cure From Parkinson's Disease, a Key Element in Former Pope's Beatification

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/03/29/world/main6343263.shtml

(AP) The Vatican this week marks the fifth anniversary of Pope John Paul II's death amid some doubts that the miracle needed for his saint-making cause will stand up to scrutiny and questions about his record combating pedophile priests.

The inexplicable cure of a young French nun from Parkinson's disease had initially seemed like the perfect case for a miracle as the Vatican fast-tracked John Paul's beatification. The nun, who suffered from the same disease that ravaged John Paul for years, had prayed to him for relief and one morning two months after John Paul died, woke up completely, inexplicably cured.

But from the beginning, Sister Marie Simon-Pierre's mysterious cure seemed difficult for the Vatican to certify as a miracle. According to the Vatican's own rules, the medically inexplicable cure must be instantaneous, complete, and lasting.

While the nun's cure was by all indications instantaneous and complete, some would argue the world will have to wait her entire lifetime to determine whether it was lasting, in case the symptoms return.

New questions were raised in recent weeks, after a Polish newspaper reported that doubts had been cast about whether Simon-Pierre had Parkinson's to begin with. The Rzeczpospolita daily, one of Poland's most respected and widely read newspapers, suggested that Simon-Pierre instead may have suffered from another neurological disease which has similar symptoms as Parkinson's but which can be cured.

Without citing sources, it said the Vatican had called in new experts to examine the case.

Doubt

Responding to the report, the emeritus head of the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins, suggested that what may have happened was that a doctor, who is asked in a preliminary phase by the Congregation to advise whether it's worth sending the case onto the fuller Vatican-appointed medical board, may have expressed some doubts.

"It could be that one of the two medical consultants perhaps had some doubts," he told reporters last week. "And this, unfortunately, leaked out. But we cannot confuse one thing with another."

"So it's wrong to say the doctors haven't approved the miracle," he said. "It's absurd because the doctors of the medical consultation board haven't pronounced themselves."

That said, he acknowledged that the doubts would require further investigation. In such cases, he said, the Congregation would ask more doctors to come in and offer an opinion.

The postulator who is spearheading John Paul's cause, Monsignor Slawomir Oder, has declined to comment on the reports, citing the Vatican rule for secrecy in the handling of the case.

Beatification is the first step toward possible sainthood. The Vatican must confirm one miracle has occurred due to the intercession of John Paul before he can be beatified. A second miracle is needed for him to be declared a saint.

Saraiva Martins was also asked how the Vatican could be certain that the cure is lasting, when a disease like Parkinson's is something that most commonly occurs late in life. For a woman who suffered from it in her 40s, how could the Vatican be certain she won't get it again?

The cardinal acknowledged the difficulty of the case, and hinted that waiting might be necessary. "It depends on the nature of the illness," he said. "For some illnesses, it's clear: it's totally cured. Some others return. That's why we need to wait."

Saraiva Martins stressed that he was speaking only in his capacity as someone knowledgeable with the Congregations' procedures and not as someone currently involved in the case.

Heroic

Benedict put John Paul on the fast-track for possible sainthood just weeks after his April 2, 2005, death, heeding the calls of "Santo Subito!" or "Sainthood Immediately!" that erupted in St. Peter's Square during the funeral of the much-loved pontiff.

Benedict waived the customary five-year waiting period and allowed the investigation into John Paul's life and virtues to begin immediately. In December 2009, Benedict signed a decree attesting to his "heroic virtues."

And on Monday, Benedict will celebrate Mass at the Vatican marking the fifth anniversary of John Paul's death. The Vatican moved the service to Monday so the Mass wouldn't conflict with Good Friday.

But recently, new questions have been raised about John Paul's record in combating pedophile priests. John Paul presided over the church when the sex abuse scandal exploded in the United States in 2002 and the Vatican was swamped with complaints and lawsuits under his leadership. Yet during most of his 26-year papacy, individual dioceses and not the Vatican took sole responsibility for investigating misbehavior.

But John Paul himself had long championed the founder of the Legionaries of Christ, the conservative order that fell into scandal after it revealed that its founder had fathered a child and had molested seminarians.

The Vatican began investigating allegations against the Rev. Marcial Maciel of Mexico in the 1950s, but it wasn't until 2006 - a year into Benedict's pontificate - that the Vatican instructed Maciel to lead a "reserved life of prayer and penance" in response to the abuse allegations - effectively removing him from power.

Subsequently, Benedict ordered a full-on investigation of the order since its entire existence was so closely intertwined with that of its discredited founder.

No obstacles

Saraiva Martins said historians who studied the pope's life as part of the sainthood process didn't find anything problematic in John Paul's handling of abuse scandals.

"According to them there was nothing that was a true obstacle to his cause of beatification," he said.

The OK from historians led to Benedict's decree last December that John Paul had led a virtuous life. As a result, all that's needed for him to be beatified is for the miracle to be confirmed.

But with such a high-profile case as John Paul's, the miracle is going to be heavily scrutinized - as will Simon-Pierre for the rest of her life. Amid reports earlier this month that the nun had again fallen ill, the Aix-en-Provence archdiocese issued a statement March 10 attesting to her health.

"I categorically deny this rumor," Rev. Luc Marie Lalanne, archdiocese chancellor said. "Little Sister Marie Simon-Pierre remains to this day in perfect health."

Saraiva Martins said the case of Simon-Pierre is still very much in play. But he added that there are many other reports of inexplicable cures, or "graces" as he termed them, that have reached the Vatican in the five years since the pope died and any one of them could be used if need be.

Church sex abuse victims to gather near Vatican, demand crime against humanity designation

ROME

By Nicole Winfield (CP)

ROME — People who were raped and molested by priests are gathering in Rome this weekend to launch a petition demanding the United Nations designate systematic sexual abuse of children as a crime against humanity.

Organizers said the Sunday gathering would mark the first time that abuse survivors from around the world will gather for a day of healing and to demand greater accountability from the Vatican. A few hundred people from a dozen countries are expected.

Organizers had hoped to stage the demonstration in St. Peter's Square, but said they had to move it a few hundred meters (yards) away because the Holy See declined to give them access.

Clergy Abuse Victims call for UN to define childhood sexual abuse as "Crimes Against Humanity" UNITED STATES

Survivors Voice

October 18, 2010 Boston Massachusetts: Survivors Voice, Inc., a non-profit foundation founded by clergy abuse survivors Bernie McDaid & Gary Bergeron to help survivors of clergy sexual abuse have started a global petition and are calling on the United Nations to define the childhood sexual abuse of children as "Crimes against humanity".

"The one natural resource that is equally shared in each and every country in every part of the world is the one natural resource that continues to be ignored by all. It is the natural innocence of a child. If the success of the future of our race as human beings is based on the protection of our children, then the continued acceptance of the status quo of the sexual abuse of children is nothing less than crimes against humanity and should be labeled as such. We are calling on the United Nations to redefine the systemic sexual abuse of children which continues to be revealed around the world to be included in the context of 'Crimes against humanity," said Gary Bergeron, clergy abuse victim & Co-Founder of Survivors Voice, Inc.

Survivors Voice Inc has invited survivors of childhood sexual abuse, their supporters and support groups from around the globe to join together on October 31 at the Vatican in Rome for a 'Reformation Day' event where they will begin the world wide petition. This event will mark the second time the pair has traveled to the Vatican to address the continuing issue of clergy sexual abuse.
