OTTAWA - Lawyers representing Roman Catholic Bishop Raymond Lahey are in court today to confirm trial dates in his child pornography case.

Lahey himself did not appear.

The case now is set for trial May 4-6.

The former head of the diocese in Antigonish, N.S., was charged in September 2009 with possessing and importing child pornography.

The 70-year-old was arrested after border agents searched his laptop at the Ottawa airport as he arrived from Britain.

Police say they found hundreds of files and dozens of videos on Lahey's laptop, many of them showing young males engaged in sex acts.
