Inside the building and in the hearts of congregants, the feeling is the same. Daniels was arrested by Citrus Heights police officers three weeks ago for allegedly molesting and participating in lewd and lacivious acts back in 2004 through 2007. The arrest came as a shocker to church members. "It's devastating, it's probably the worst thing that a church and pastor could have is sexual misconduct allegations. It hurts, but by the same token, we're a real tight congregation," said a congregant named Bob. Today, Daniels' pulpit is being filled by a former First Baptist pastor. Church elders insist despite all the charges, all 110 church members are standing behind Daniels, "I haven't had one person that said "we're leaving". The people still bring their kids, all those programs are still going on every Sunday," Bob said. Church members have faith that they'll be returnign to normal very soon, " If he is found innocent like we believe he will be, then he'll be returning to our pulpit."
