A $77-million settlement has been reached for 146 people who say they were sexually abused by Diocese of Wilmington priests.

The lawsuits claimed child sexual abuse by dozens priests dating to the early 1960s.

The abuse cases drove the diocese to seek chapter 11 bankruptcy protection back in 2009.

Each victim will receive around $530,000 from a court-supervised trust.

According to lawyers, the agreement also calls for the diocese to fully disclose documents relating to abuse.
