In court Friday morning, Gerardo Gonzalez denied every accusation that's been made against him and offered up his own opinion for the reasons behind them; beginning with his wife's claims that he was an abusive husband.

He said, "I want to tell you I discovered a lot of new things in this court, because for 27 years I could see that it was a lie. She was showing that she was happy."

He was also asked about testimony that said he physically beat other members of his family.

Gonzales denied the abuse saying, "My children would go to the doctor a minimum of three times a year. They would check them from head to toe. I would have been reported."

When he was asked about the sexual abuse charges he called them all lies.

According to the prosecution, one claim was that he would look at the related parties' bodies to see if they were developing properly.

But he denied the accusation, saying the only time he ever saw the related parties in the nude was when

"On some occasions when they would come out of bathroom, they would come out in towels. They would leave the bedroom door open. I saw them once, that's it but I didn't say ‘hey, hey show me."

He said the two related parties only made the claims because they were angry saying the older accuser was a big troublemaker growing up.

He said, "her teenage behavior it was all normal, the only thing that was not normal that the whole family always discovered that whenever she wouldn't get what she wanted she would get mad."

Gonzales went on to say if the abuse actually happened, he didn't think the related parties would have waited so long to report it.

"The accusation is so heavy that if it was true they would have taken action immediately. It is a lie in the first degree I mean it is a big lie," Gonzales said.

The jury will continue to deliberate Monday morning. If convicted, Gonzales faces up to 99 years in prison.
