A Chattanooga congregation is reeling after their Youth Pastor is charged with Aggravated Statutory Rape.

27 year old Ronnie Powe, Junior was arrested Tuesday night.

Chattanooga Police were investigating a suspicious car parked behind the old East Lake Middle School building.

Powe was in the car with a 15 year old boy he met on the internet.

He later admitted to sexual contact with that child.

Powe, Junior was Youth Pastor at United Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.

His father and Senior Pastor says the younger Powe has repented before the congregation.

Pastor Ronnie Powe, Sr says, "We feel like God does convict us of our wrongs, but he doesn't condemn us. Now we're in the support mode, we do not condone the behavior and what happened. But we do believe in restoration."

Powe says there have been no complaints from the youth group of inappropriate contact.

He says there are checks and balances to prevent that from happening.
