	Former Priest Indicted on Sexual Abuse Charges By Alex Ruoff The Gazette February 23, 2011 http://www.gazette.net/stories/02232011/bethnew212709_32555.php Garrett David Orr, the former Georgetown Preparatory School teacher arrested on charges he molested two students while employed as a Jesuit priest there, was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury Thursday. Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office spokesman Seth Zucker said the indictment means Orr will be tried in Montgomery County Circuit Court. He faces four counts of third-degree sexual offense and two counts of child abuse. Orr, 57, of Pittsburgh was charged with the crimes Jan. 25 after two former students separately contact Montgomery County police, and said Orr had molested them while living in the school's dormitory, located on the North Bethesda school's campus, according to court documents. One of the students contacted Montgomery County police in June to say he was molested by Orr in 1989, court charging documents state. Another said he similarly was molested in 2002, but charging documents associated with his case were sealed by Karla Smith of the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office. Smith did not respond to messages requesting comment. Orr taught Latin and drama, and at one point lived in a dormitory with other members of the faculty and about 100 students between 1989 and 2003, Georgetown Prep spokesman Paul Gallagher said after Orr's arrest. Child abuse has a maximum prison sentence of 15 years while third-degree sexual offenses carry 10 years per charge, Montgomery County police spokeswoman Lucille Baur said.
