MILWAUKEE -- There are allegations that documents and records linked to clergy sex abuse in Milwaukee might have been destroyed.

The accusation comes from SNAP, or Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

The organization referred to church documents pertaining to the Franklyn Becker case.

Becker was a priest who was transferred from parish to parish despite allegations of sexual encounters with children.

SNAP refered to a letter that implies that documents related to the case might have been destroyed.

"Any records concerning the sexual abuse of a child is criminal evidence and should not be destroyed," said John Pilmaier of SNAP.

The archdiocese said original documents are kept in clergy personnel files and that it does not destroy documents.
