A priest in the Diocese of Scranton faces a lawsuit in Missouri and has been removed from his duties.
Fr. Mark Honhart has served churches in several communities, including Carbondale, Throop, Dorrance and Forest City.
The lawsuit claims Fr. Honhart abused a boy in the Kansas City area in the 1980s.
The Diocese of Scranton in a statement said Fr. Honhart has been "removed from the ministry," meaning he cannot present himself as a priest.
