A WOMAN yesterday told a court she was forced to have sex with the leader of a cult when she was just 15.

The alleged victim said "evil" Colin Batley told her she would be killed if she didn't take part in the sickening initiation ceremony.

She claimed she was then ordered to perform sex acts on Batley's wife Elaine - and was taken to meetings where she had to have sex with men and women.

The alleged victim, now an adult, said: "I was told I'd be killed if I didn't become part of the cult. Colin Batley had a gun and took it to meetings. I was so scared I just did what I was told. I was in the living room at his home and he told me there would be an initiation.

"He told me he did not want to do it but it had to be done.

Cross

"I was called upstairs by Colin. Elaine was there. He would snap his fingers and just say 'strip'."

The sobbing woman, giving evidence by videolink at Swansea Crown Court, said she was given an upside-down cross similar to one worn by Elaine, 47. She claimed Batley, 48, was the "boss" of the cult based in a cul-de-sac in Kidwelly, West Wales.

The woman also alleged she had to hand over 25 per cent of her salary to the group when she began working at Credit Suisse bank.

Other alleged cult members were neighbours Shelly Millar, 35, Jacqueline Marling, 42, and Sandra Iveson, 45. The five deny 33 charges including rape, forcing a girl to work as a prostitute and inciting children to have sex. Another defendant, Vincent Barden, 70, from Kempston, Beds, denies rape. The trial continues.
