Common Pleas Judge Renee Cardwell Hughes is none too pleased with James Brennan, one of three priests accused of sexual abuse in a grand jury report released last month.

It's not just because Brennan is facing charges of rape against a 14-year-old boy. When the report came out, Brennan reportedly told Hughes he has no money to pay for legal counsel, and was then appointed a public defender. Brennan has since hired two private attorneys, expecting the Archdiocese to reimburse the priest for the fees, the Daily News reports.

Brennan will have to reimburse the court for the public defender fees.

Hughes, who refused to recuse herself, took heat from Charles Peruto Jr. and Richard DeSipio, who represent Brennan, for not referring to him as "Father Brennan," since he's still a priest despite the charges against him.

If that's what the attorneys are going to focus on, this is going to be one long battle.
