Nationally Known Priest Accused of Misconduct

CORPUS CHRISTI - An internationally known priest who is affiliated with a religious order based out of Robstown has been placed on administrative leave because of misconduct claims. Father John Corapi is accused by a former female employee of having sexual encounters with several adult women and using drugs.

In a statement on his website Corapi says,"all of the allegations in the complaint are false, and i ask you to pray for all concerned." "His radio and TV programs have been taken off the air pending an investigation."

The Diocese of Corpus Christi issued a statement Tuesday saying they are aware of the claims but that they do not appear to involve minors or criminal activity within the Diocese of Corpus Christi.
