The Catholic Diocese of Rochester has placed an area priest on administrative leave, amidst allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor dating back to the late 1960s.
The allegations are against Vincent Panepinto who served at a number of Rochester parishes, as well as at Our Lady of Mercy High School. The diocese says he has had his priestly duties withdrawn.
The diocese encourages victims of abuse to always report incidents. They can be reached at 328-3228 extension 1215.
