PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A local group is holding a protest outside the Providence Catholic Diocese Headquarters.

The survivors network of those abused by priests and Bishopaccountability.org gathered for a joint protest Monday.

The protestors are demanding Bishop Thomas Tobin release the names of all of the priests who have worked in Rhode Island , and have been accused of sex abuse.

The Diocese says it is aggressive in efforts to find abuse victims.

A statement released reads in part:

"The Catholic Church in Rhode Island takes very seriously all allegations regarding clergy abuse and has been in the forefront of instituting and improving policies and procedures for preventing sexual abuse, educating personnel and investigating allegations.

The diocese has adopted and implemented the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People and successfully completed and passed audits in compliance with the Charter."
