Priests with ties to St. Stan's and St. Maria Goretti were on the list released by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia recently in connection with the church sex abuse scandal.

A list of 21 priests who were put on administrative leave while Archdiocese officials investigate allegations of sexual abuse of minors was released this month.

A grand jury report released last month stated dozens of priests remained in active ministry even though what the jury deemed credible allegations had been lodged against them.

Just this week, Rigali placed two additional priests on administrative leave as part of an ongoing investigation into the child sexual abuse allegations.

The priests were unnamed in a press release by the Archdiocese. The two priests were retired.

A group called SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) is calling for the Archidiocese to release all the names of the accused priests.

According to the SNAP website's press release, the group urges “Cardinal Rigali to publicly disclose the names and whereabouts of dozens of recently suspended allegedly abusive priests, and house those credibly accused child molesters in a secure, remote treatment center, so that kids are safer.”

“Clergy sex abuse victims are alarmed that Cardinal Justin Rigali is continuing to hide the names of dozens of just-suspended credibly accused child molesting clerics. His secrecy further endangers vulnerable children.” SNAP says.

SNAP also points out the need to reform Pennsylvania’s “predator-friendly” abuse laws. Extending or eliminating the archaic statute of limitations will enable more child sex abuse victims (most of whom were not hurt by clergy) to “expose dangerous predators through the open, time-tested American justice system,” the group contends.

The List of the priests accused include:

The Rev. Paul Castellani (1996), pastor, St. Philomena Church, Lansdowne.

Bishopaccountability.org is a database that can help victims find the accused priests and the timeline of their service. Victims are urged to call the police and law enforcement agencies to report the abuse.

Snapnetwork.org is the website for SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) and a great resource for those who know or have been victims of clergy abuse.
