A 52-year-old Germantown man with a history of working with autistic children was charged with five counts of sexual offenses for allegedly touching a 10-year-old boy in a shower five times in 2003, Montgomery County police said Tuesday.

Michel Rosenzweig was released on bond Tuesday after being locked

up on the charges two days prior, according to online court records.

"He seems like a well-grounded man," said Steven Kupferberg, his attorney, who declined to comment further, saying he had not seen details of the police allegations against his client.

The boy, now 18, contacted detectives last month after seeing Rosenzweig recently with several children he thought to be autistic. Police said Rosenzweig touched the boy when he was 10 and in the shower at a community pool in Germantown.

Police said Rosenzweig worked at local schools in the past, including St. John Evangelist School in Silver Spring, Stedwick Elementary School, Neelsville Middle School and Lakelands Park Middle School from 2006 to 2007. More recently, he worked at Maxim Health Care in Towson, an organization that provides behavioral services to children, police said.

Police said they are looking for additional victims and asked that anyone with information about Rosenzweig call Detective John Reinikka at 240-773-5400.
