A sexual abuse survivors' group is urging anyone with knowledge of alleged abuse at Camp Good News in Sandwich to still come forward. The release comes after today's news of an apparent suicide at the camp by an employee under investigation.

The group is also calling on critics of U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, who revealed this winter he was molested as a boy at a Cape Cod "Christian" camp, to now reconsider their bashing of the Bay State Republican. It's an appeal with a political twist. Brown also went on the Howie Carr show today to defend his handling of his personal struggle. The politics of abuse back on the front pages.

Here's the release …

"The full truth about child sex allegations at the camp may never be known. Still, we encourage anyone with information or suspicions about possible child sex crimes to call law enforcement.

Let's hope that every single person who saw, suspected or suffered child sex crimes at this camp will find the courage to speak up, get help, call police, expose wrongdoers and start healing.

We hope that this news may cause those who doubt Senator Brown's abuse report and motives to reconsider their public comments." — David Clohessy of St. Louis, Director of SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests
