A convicted sex-offender rabbi serving 33 years in prison could be home for Passover after it was revealed yesterday that another man may have borne false witness against him.

Rabbi Baruch Lebovits was convicted last year of eight counts of criminal sexual act, but the verdict appears in jeopardy after a Brooklyn man was indicted for arranging phony witnesses against the rabbi and for then allegedly trying to extort money to scuttle their testimony.

Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes announced the indictment of Samuel Kellner, who produced two witnesses who claimed Lebovits -- already facing a misdemeanor sex-abuse charge -- had molested them.

Both testified before a grand jury that indicted Lebovits, but one of the Kellner-arranged witnesses refused to testify.

The testimony of the other Kellner witness led to Lebovits' conviction.
